Our Approach to God’s Word

At Lake Lansing Baptist Church, we're excited to invite you to journey with us through God’s Word. We believe the best way to study Scripture is expositionally, meaning that we study through the entire Bible book by book, verse by verse. We do this to ensure that the “whole counsel of God” is taught, and that God’s Words, not any person’s, are exalted. Our pastor and deacons are currently teaching through different series that are thoughtfully curated to deepen our understanding of God's Word, promote spiritual growth, and foster evangelism. Each series is designed to provide insights, encouragement, and practical applications for your daily life.

Join us as we embark on the Discipleship Path, a lifelong journey of being a Jesus-follower. Each quarter, we’ll go through 2 studies that help us grow in one of the 8 signposts of a mature believer.

Evening Book Study - Pastor Simmons

Sundays @ 6PM

Let’s dive deep into God’s Word with a verse-by-verse study of the Book of Proverbs! The evening book study takes us on a trek through a book of the Bible that includes word studies, exploration of themes, and a more academic approach to Scripture that still encourages application of truth!

Morning Worship - Pastor Simmons

Sundays @ 11AM

Join us as we explore the Book of Hebrews to discover how Jesus is greater than anything in the Old Covenant - or that this world has to offer.

Adult Midweek Bible Study - Pastor Simmons

Wednesdays @ 7PM

Come ready to learn, share, and grow with a discussion-based Bible study based on The Gospel Project. This three-year journey through Scripture examines the entirety of the Bible through the lens of God’s Redemptive Plan, showing how every part of God’s Word points us to Christ.
